The LTTE considered Indian Peacekeeping forces as their enemies when they were sent there in fact to help them. The Tamil leaders were too much greedy and many of them minted money which was being sent by Sri Lankan Tamils from throughout the world to support the fight. If they had listened to India and accepted limited autonomy within Sri Lanka, Tamils would not have suffered as much as they have by now.
Now, India can only give humanitarian aid becaue Sri Lanka being a sovereign nation, it is not proper for India to meddle too much in its internal affairs. I also feel that the government is doing this only to please Karunanidhi and his cohorts in Tamil Nadu.
It is so sad that innocents, as usual, have suffered most. We should provide only humanitarian aid, nothing more.
