Let us first understand what terrorism it. So far, everyone believed that these belong to a group of religious fanatics who are fighting for a cause. However, it is not so. It is a big money spinning business. There are groups who recruit die-hard youngsters who are willing to do anything for money. These groups hire them, train them and turn them into highly motivated personnel. They lend them out to those who are willing to pay for their services, of course for a very high price. The whole system is highly organized. They have top shooters, snipers and men expert in planting bombs and the type of activity that is taking place now at Mumbai. If you look at the trend, terrorist activities have seen an upward trend just before the elections. Our political parties have been hiring them to tarnish each others traits. The bomb blast earlier took place in states not ruled by the ruling parties to show them in poor light. The recent incident is taking place in a state under the rule of UPA. ...more

I am replying the same which I have done to several other members query about terrorism. My clear observation is "One of the possible reason for the terrorism is that the explosions are no longer the handiwork of outside agencies. Instead, much men, money and material are probably of internal origin. Fighting terrorism is an arduous process requiring painstaking work by professionals, untainted by political bias, at all levels of officialdom. To remove terrorism, we should : 1. Strengthen Intelligence inputs. 2. Apply harsh laws, without political interference and without misuse of law like POTA by exercising authorities. 3. Recruit trained informant. 4. Now, terrorism is safely abetted by well educated, least suspecting individuals ( even family members are not aware ). They have no criminal records. So to nullify their move, their social grievances must be addressed. Positive sign would be not to target any particular community. 5. Police is regarded as suspicion for their highh ...more

1. Rise above political/ electoral benefits to bring the terrorists to book.
2. Do not use terrorists like Bhindarawale to enhance political benefit. What Congress is doing in Mumbai Maharashtra with Raj Thakrey is similar to what India Gandhi did with Bhindarawale in Punjab 25 years back. Those, who forget the history are condemned to repeat it.
3. Snub the terrorism with a brutal force.
4. Stop blaming the neighboring nation and start realizing that these terrosists always were and are from india. They are not from outside. Dawood Ibrahim, Chhota Shakeel, Tiger Memon, Abu Salem were and still are by default Indian citizens. People are always blaming other nation, because it is easy, what did Indian police and leaders do, when Dawood Ibrahim was in India? making merry on corruption fees doled out by Dawood Ibrahim???
Wake up to the reality!!!!

Terrorism can be refers to cetain actions that generate fear, cause disruption, and
ultimately, brings about compliance with specified political, religious, or ideological demands. their aim is simply destroying constitutional, economic or social structures of a country in any cost--well india is a huge democracy, geographically fit to perform --where people all from different caste and creed ,specially youths that can be easily lured by hard-core criminals and underground extremists..that turn them into heinous crimes,ur question already beautifully answered by jack sir and sumitha mem!!well the main problem is our vague laws and our internal security--prevention must be crucial first, let the other subject secondly--as we have seen in various parts of the country, there were countless serious and horrendous events engulfing many cities with blood-bath. If our security forces had not been vigilant enough to confiscate these explosives, they would probably have been enough to take car ...more

Terrorism has always existed in one form or the other from time immemorial....only it has taken more deadly form today. The only way i see in containing it is in deliverance of immediate and zero-tolerance justice. Today the terrorists know that they have two options...1. die in a suicide attack or 2. If arrested, he can use the legal loopholes and either live in prison or come out of prison with the help some clever lawyer. But to have an effective justice system we need to have the political will.... our political babus' and netas are involved in vote bank games.... how is it that few evil minds are able to overpower millions of good and innocent ppl? It is because our govt machinery and will is weak......we need to look within ourselves before we look at others....no outsider can succeed in destroying us without some inside help......and the govt (not only UPA ....any govt) knows where the inside help is coming from but do not want to tackle them because of few measly vote ...more
