Rajneesh jee, I am a pukka Maharashtrian fellow and glad that while raising the relevant point of allergy in your question, you didn`t fail to mention the term `His supporters`; failing which, otherwise it could have been an insulting kind comment to all Maharashtrians. MNS does not represent mentality of entire Maharashtra. 13 MLAs in Assembly election is a mark of recognition of the party in State politics; but it doesn`t give permission either to Mr.Raj Thakaray or to his band of brothers to take the Constitutional rights away from those believe in the integrity of the nation. Myself and my students` association in this vicinity of western belt of Maharashtra had arranged `Morcha` to District Collector office in protest against MNS` atrocities on hard working fellows from Bihar Jharkhand Bengal engaged mainly in Mumbai and Pune industrial zones. We have been warned and threatened from the so called local leaders of MNS against our role in assuming `India` as one home and anyone can ...more

Janab Rajneeshji , Aaapko kya problem he !!! , Ve unki State me, unki own language ki prominence rakhna chahte he.Isme koi burayee nahi he aur problem feel nahi honi chahiye. Iss baat se doosre state walon ko bura man ne kya zaroroat he.Rajasthan me marathi chalegi kya.Humara state me bhi, no one will ever use marathi.let them promote their language in their own state, If others cant tollerate it ,leave their state. They might be visiting other states but would never prefer to compel to use their language in other states. What is the problem if they eat chapitis. In our state also we eat chapitis, wheat from UP ,Punjab and Rice from Andhra ,onion from some other state and vegetable from Tamilnaadu ,Sugar from maharashtra and fruits from some Nothern state :-))) I think Even our country import lot of edible food items from other countries. !!!

In democracy power can be obtained through people and you need to channelize majority of the people in your favour, which is mostly done by raking up emotions. One says Islam khatre main and all muslims unite, other says hindu khatre main and hindus unite, and when another says Marathi khatre main..........the idea is to unite Marathis. Not that they hate others..........but in the process, for political gains, they do divide the societies.

Congress has been doing this by playing caste and communal cards to stay in power, but when Mayawati does she becomes a casteist and when BJP or Samajwadi Party does they become communal. Akalis are doing the same thing but no one accuses them of being communal. In south there has been very strong anti-hindi violent campaigns . Mulayam Singh did this in UP by campaigning against english but they never targetted individuals or hindi / english speaking people. So to that extent there is nothing wrong if they launch campaign in favour of Marathi. B ...more
