Q.

The latest verdict of the special fast track court sentencing BJP legislator Maya Kodnani to 28 years jail and jail till death to Babu Bajrangi for their involvement in the Naroda-Patiya massacre case has sent the strong message "Be you ever so high, the law is above you". This is also a victory for the victims who displayed determination and steadfastness for 10 long years and bravely fought the legal battle. The severest of punishment will have to be given to prevent communal riots. Comments plz.

Fully agree but we are victims of our own system. It happened before Naroda incident and sometime later, similar thing may happen somewhere and in some other form.

Absolutely agreed but my only contention is that while the culprits of a 2002 case have been sentenced but the culprits of 1984 Sikh riots , Sajjan Kumar and Tytler still roam free

Pls do not rely on the judgements. Here I agree with the statement made by Mamata didi that judgements can be purchased in India. What happened with 1983 riots against sikhs in Delhi. My muslim friends from Delhi tells me that Tyter openly lead to kill sikhs but not yet punished. Govt is trying to corner Narendra Modi from every direction and every possible malafide way.
Though there are so many clean judges still present in India, we have to rely only on one law of cause & effect i.e. KARMA PHALA justice.
There is no argument or second thought for giving severest punishment for preventing communal riots but it's possible only when RAJDHARMA is observed by every ruler. Why mild action on Raza academy for riot at Azad maidan? Can you imagine the uproar, had this happend in Ramleela maidan during Anna's protest? Only congress is largely responsible for every communal riots ( Even in recent Assam riots). May I have previlege to name it instead of state sponsered , as CENTER SPONSERE ...more

Thye would appeal to the higher court & the punishment would get reduced if not aquitted. It may take a long time to settle too !!
