It's an OILY issue. Already crude oil has reached $135 per barel, he wants it to move beyond $200. Iran has given a clue to the world of how to handle the US, it has stopped dealing in the US$ and shifted its forexreserves to Euro. At home Obama is ready to occupy his chair,Bush has to act fast and his political teachings from the old book of thaughts tell him that the countrymen will sympathise him if war is going on. So the immediate target is Iran. The third "I" will be India.

I understand your point 100%, and it is ironic that Bush says this, because the only country in the world which has actually used atomic energy live on another country was the US. That too VERY blatantly on civilians, not even against military. (Hiroshima & Nagazaki).

And the saying goes "a man who has killed once is more likely to kill again than a man who has never killed at all."

The US wants world political monopoly and Iran is resisting. INdia caved into US demands even before a diplomatic shot was fired, but the Iranians aren't. And +++ respect to Iran for that.

And the Bush calls North Korea as a regime which worships Kim Jong Il, but he hasn't checked up his own history ofthe Koreas:
