What option do they have? This is also not like another cases where a weak accused can strike a deal with the prosecution for a lighter sentence if he turns govt witness and divulges details of the bigger criminal, which the govt would want. All five are accused of the same charges and this should be a comparatively easier case for the prosecution if they have not bungled up the investigation to provide loopholes for the defence to exploit. Another common thought process is that if they accept the crime, the accused cannot appeal in a higher court.
