The National Security Agency is the United States government's cryptologic intelligence organization that operates under the United States. Department of Defense. It was created on 4th November, in the year 1952. It is responsible for the collection and analysis of foreign communications and foreign signals intelligence, which involves a significant amount of cryptanalysis.
