Kept safe. Because it's a formation which is very old, and has great national heritage value spanning over 4000 years. That site should be prepped up, and bought up as a world class heritage site.
The Peruvians lost MUCH of their heritage during European rule. They're MUCH poorer than India. Yet they prepped up Maccu Piccu ruins. The ONLY thing they had left in terms of heritage. ANd it's a world wonder today. India should try to achieve 2 world wonders. That's showing respect in ur home land.
Look @ Singapore @ Sentosa Island. I Mean seriously...or even Dubai. They don't have any ancient heritage, so they are creating new ones like "The WOrld" proj. Even the Soviets created Bikonur out of nothing but arid steppes. It's too bad we aren't able to match those feats even after being blessed w/ so many yrs. of ancient heritage.
It should be preserved AND prepped up into a heritage site of world quality and perhaps a much needed income generator via tourism. It shouldn't be dest ...more

Even if lord ram comes down he would not allow political parties to fight for it,so long it reduces the time ,money and energy in traveling by ships in southrn seas, yes it should not be destroyed ,a small opening can be made to allow the ships to pass, are we not altering the houses in which our ancestors lived their life?,

It should be kept intact and should never be destroyed as even if it is not rams seth as some are saying its a good think under water and and will be good for the sea animals. But my belief is its from the time of Ram no doubt about it.

Ram setu is a manmade structure conecting India and Srilanka - NASA claims made 1,50,000 years ago (termed as Adam's bridge by NASA) - the time resembles Treta Yuga and Sri Ramchandra's period as per Hindu mythology.
