It is bvirtually impossible to disband a militant outfit. Once militant group is defeated iand routed, the sympathisers or those who belonged to the former outfit and went hiding, may regroup and surface somewhere else. it is a known fact that LTTE has sympathisers in India, especially in Tamil Nadu...They are like sleeper cells, butready to stage any sabotage at the appropriate time. Inshort, they are well equipped to carry out any mission, as is seen from the ecent nefarious act of attempting to sabotge the Rockfort Express which might have resulted in the loss of countless innocent lives. The investigations so fr point the accusing finger to an organisation of sympathisers of Prabhakaran..

I hope not. It is true that there are a lot of Tamils from Sri Lanka residing in India in different parts of the country who came to India much before the demise of LTTE. There may be many sympathizers of LTTE among them or some of them may be LTTE cadres who have been on a mission to collect intelligence; arrange logistics and fund raising. Not much information is available about them. The fact cannot be denied that the LTTE cadres nurse a grudge against India for not supporting their cause for a separate homeland. The above blow up of railway track may be a signal directed at India that they are still alive, at least some of them. Time for the security agencies to take notice and act. If not, it would blow up on their face one day not too far from now.
