When politicians do nothing for which they can take credit, they change names of states/cities. It makes no difference to the common people. Same bottle and the same wine, only the label changes.

Mango man (aam admi) is made to believe that by changing the names of the cites and states all his problems will be solved.
But it only solves the vote-catching problems of the netas

Thiruvananthapuram is the official name. but, people use many short forms for many names to avoid errors in pronunciations & also wastage of time.
