A Dam is a wall of solid material build across a river to block the flow of the river. as a result, water is stored in a lake that wll form up-stream of the dam. The main purpose of most dams is to create a permanent reservoir of water for use at a later time. There are different tp of dams, including concrete dams , arch dams and earth dams. The design and construction of a dam depends on its purpose and location , as well as the material and workforce available.!!
