In Hinduism, Sraddhais the word that is synonymous with faith. It means unshaken belief and purity of thought. Faith is recognized as a virtue throughout all schools of Hinduism, although there is a variety of interpretations of the role of faith in one's daily life, its foundation, and what rests upon it.

In chapter 17 of the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna mentions the three gunas of faith: Faith rooted in sattva, faith rooted in rajas, and faith rooted in tamas. Those with sattvic faith are said to worship the devas, those with rajasic faith are said to worship demons, and those with tamasic faith are said to worship ghosts and spirits.
Now better you decide..why and in which compartment of life your faith is collapsing !!!

Sai Ram. My faith has in fact become stronger over years, not weaker. At any given time, some will be gaining and others losing faith as per their destinies.

Lack of significance is laid to learn and have faith in god; elders too don't follow the same to be an example, bread earning has become more important, good people like pravachankarta use to go to various parts of India to deliver dharmopdesh many a time in a year, now people have no time to hear; our attention has been snatched by the western development, means of entertainments;
sanskrit and hindi are looked down upon by the so called litereates and are not able understand the language due to the growing tred of educating our children in public schools, families, at present are changing, they do not like old parents to live with the newly weds; the very source of inspiration to the new generations; who taught many good things are not possible now; this is the curse of the time and new means of entertainment, and disrespect for our sanskrit and hindi language and our parents that the faith in the faith is being lost greatly in the upcoming generations.

The noble Quran says:(2:260) Call to mind the other event also, when Abraham said, "My Lord, show me how Thou bringest the dead back to life?" He said "Have you no faith in this?" Abraham humbly replied, "I do believe but I ask this to reassure my heart."296 Allah said, "Well, take four birds and tame them with yourself and then (cut them into pieces) and place a piece of each of them on each hill. Then call them and they will come running to you; know this for certain that Allah is All-Powerful, All-Wise."297
Expalanation:-296. That is, the rest and inner peace that one attains as a result of direct personal observation.
297. People have subjected this incident and the one above to very strange interpretations. If one bears in mind, however, God's dealings with the Prophets, one will not feel any need to strain one's energies in hammering out such artificially-contrived interpretations. The truth of the matter is that the kind of function that ordinary believers are required to pe ...more

Faith means to keep one's belief till the end and beyond the end of everything but, the limited patience of man is not enough to keep this faith intact beyond everything and the end itself!
