Some compare the rate of income tax with advanced countries like U.S.A. and declare we as Indians are paying very less incometax(interms of percentage)Does they realise in this world we pay so many types of bewildering taxes-income tax, wealth tax, service tax, luxure tax...... etc., etc., to name only few

Most advanced countries have all the taxes mentioned in your question , like wealth tax, service tax etc.. and many of them have done away with personal income tax on salaries. I think in due course of time our government also will done away with income tax on salaries. Yes, our income tax rate is less than most countries.
