Though the period of Lal Bahadur Shastri was a brief one, but he left indelible mark on polity by his simplicity, moral conviction of higher order and courage shown during Indo-Pak war in 1965. He gave a slogan of Jai Kisan Jai Jawan, which was picked up by Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who added Jai Vigyan with his vision of making India a knowledge and information technology super power.
