LK Advani kept the suspense alive about his prime ministerial ambitions on Thursday on his 85th birthday with an ambivalent comment which would have left other hopefuls like Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi and his own proteges Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley guessing.
Asked what his party had gifted him on his birthday, he said, "Party has given me so much all my life that when somebody says you have to become the prime minister, I say becoming pPrime mMinister is not more than what I have got from the party." L.K. Advani Thursday announced he is not in the race for becoming the party's prime ministerial candidate.

It is likely that he will get Gadkari`s post. But, all political parties must give a chance to newcomers. They are full of hope and energy, may give us a better future.

It is a case of grapes are sour. Actually Advani has not given up his aspiration for becoming PM. He has realized BJP will not win the forth coming LS election.
