In that case we should not be paid for night also !
Salary is fixed for month not for hours we work,
in that case we would be casual worker and not employees.

Sundays were declared holidays by Britishers, because they went to churches on Sundays and enjoyed paid holidays; which we too are following, otherwise, there would not have been any holiday. The domestic, agriculture and those employed in the service kings and rich people were not allowed any holiday; thank the foreign rulers custom that you get at least 4 days off on payment. Had this not been the case, Indian system expected 24x30 working hours.
