Q.

A member of CHS had her husband's name as second name in the agreement (co-owner) and has nominated her daughter who was then married in Aug 2004.
Now member's husband expired and she wants to add daughter's name as co-owner (second name).
Daughter stays in Saudi Arabia with her husband and has got her first name changed from x to y (post Aug 2004) for which gazett/ certificate is available and also her old expired passport mentions her old name and the changed name both.

WHAT WOULD BE THE PROCEDURE AND DOCUMENTS REQUIRED TO MAKE THE DAUGHTER AS CO-OWNER. THANKS.

She should make an application addressed to the Secretary of the concerned CHS, informing them of the death of her husband with an attested copy of her husband's death certificate. To add her daughter's name as a co-owner, she will have to apply for the same alongwith an attested copy of the gazette certificate, for change of name AS WELL AS file a fresh Nomination form , making her daughter as the sole Nominee.
This will bind the Society to transfer the flat in the name of her daughter, after her death, as per the model bye-laws or the bye laws of the Society..
