Post Budget, the market is likely to move northwards, says Dilip Bhat, Joint MD, Prabhudas Lilladher, on NDTV Profit. The Sensex is gaining strength and is currently trading at 18,125, up 319 points from the previous close. Nifty is trading above 5350 at 5364, up 94 points. CNX midcap index is up 1.6% and BSE Smallcap index, up 1.7%. All sectoral indices, except BSE IT, are trading higher. Capital goods and power stocks are leading. & Expect the market to be choppy in the medium term, says an expert from Standard Chartered Bank, on CNBC-TV18. He is confident of seeing 22-24% earnigns growth in FY08 and 15-16% in FY09. Discussing the market's expectations from the Budget on Friday, he says reduction in corporate surcharge is expected.
