- Under a privilege motion, a member of Parliament can complain of his dignity being undermined by an act or comment.
If the privilege committee accepts the charge, the person concerned can be fined and asked to apologise, or can even be sent to jail for 15 to 30 days - Why extreme punishment was awarded to Ms. Kiran Bedi and Om Puri ?

Dirty words were uttered in the parliament (mandir) by sharad yadaav and laloo against krina bedi and ompuri too , why not take them also to task ?
