No need to heed Mamata's demand, for her demand is not in the larger interest of the nation.

It is not only Ms. Banerjee that is opposing the move by the Government. Going by the distinct division of opinion amongs the States, it appears that probably no consultative approach has been adopted by the Central Government in this proposal. Every opposition ruled State is saying that no consultations took place. The plight of the States ruled by the Congress/ Congress led combine is understandable. They won't open their mouth, even if want to do so.

In an important piece of decision like setting up of NCTC, the Government must convince the States that why this should be accepted by them and also elucidate the importance of this move.
