What do you mean by confrontation here? Go to war? Or indulge in counter terrorism? Or enforcing a blockade (economical)? Pakistan means its citizens. They have nothing to do with terrorism. I think our govt. is doing something to confront Pak authorities on this issue. Of course both the effort and efficacy of the effort appear insignificant and useless.
Yes. Something drastic had to be done with both Pak and Bangla desh. And also those so called Indian Residents who help them, shelter and probably arm them and maybe taking an active part in exchange of money or favors or both. We should confront seriously.

(1) Their own officers have, from time to time, admitted that their country is involved in such activities
And events like 26 / 11 have been proved beyond doubt
(2) They are our enemies an will do everything possible to destroy us. Terrorism is a vital part that effort. So there is no point telling an enemy that why are you behaving like one. We have no other choice to confront them militarily. Even if it results in mutual destruction
(3) They have a huge base of admirers / supporters / sympathizers in India. It is these people who are equally big enemies as Pakistan is

If there is proof ,better to present to international court of justice and then pass un resolutions against them and take international community together , it is not possible to confront directly
