Q.

Should an HIV test before marriage be made compulsory???? as I have come across a case where in a 23 year old girl married for past one and half years has tested positive for HIV and she knows she has contracted it from her husband. Her family is distraught but there is little dey can do now..But to bring about this rule amendments needs to be made in Hindu Marriage Act 1955 and some objected it as they say it infringes upon a person's right to privacy... Your views???

HIV test should be made compulsory. Those who refuse let them not get married. Many innocent lives will be saved.

AID's and HIV during marriage is not one's private matters whe it comes to marriage....both sides family members ...atleast the boy n the girl must know the health status of his/her partner.....n in that matter full details....not only AIDS!!!!
