Q.

Shivaj Park local residents groups have opposed Manohar Joshi's proposal of building Thackeray memorial there.
For a leader with so many party worker's support , is building memorial a good thing or something to be avoided, looking at the state of other memorials?

I would say that its best to find a different place to build a memorial for Bal Saheb Thackeray. Building it at Shivaji Park would mean that lots of space will be used and reducing the size for it is meant for. Thackeray would remain as the tallest leader from Maharashtra for years to come by so memorial has to be placed in some area for his followers in particular and for public in general!
