Satyug me to aisa hi prachalan tha ki Devtaon k liye amrit hai, aur asrur hi Madirapaan karte the. Nissandeh madirapan se insaan ka dimag uske wash me nai hota uar asur pravrittiyaan aa jati hain bhale ki kucch chhan k liye.. So, Alcohol indeed is harmful for health, cannot say paap or not (coz practically dekhein to yeh peene wale ki prawritti pe nirbhar hai), but yes, its a bad habit, isiliye samaj iska wirodh karta hai.
