SGPC, the highest religious body decided to take part in the Kumbh Mela in Prayag (Allahabad) this month. How ever AISSF (All India Sikh Students Federation and various other Sikh organisations strongly opposed saying that it is not a religious activity for the Sikhs. Now it is decided to keep a stall there and distribute Sikh literature.

First of all, I would say that, it is their internal matter and for them to sort it out among them self.
Since they do not accept all aspects of the traditional ancient Indian religious beliefs, they rightly claim to be a separate religion.
But still our Sikh brothers (along with Jains and Buddhists) are an intrinsic part of the great culture called Indian culture. We are not different from them

Sikhism will always remain close to hinduism since it has branched out of it.Mutual respect is always needed for harmony in the country.But what i actually feel is ,what sanmeet kaur sawhney(winner of 5 crore in kbc) said,children should be taught right path since childhood,She is teaching religious studies in gurudwara.That is need of the hour in Punjab where many youth are into drugs and alcohol.
