I am in the process of writing an Academic paper in "Politics of Drugs".. This will give a complete insight how the corruption works in the Country.. Just replacing these Politician will not suffice the purpose, in fact it has to be done strategically..

Yes, we can correct these crisis.. We have the solutions..

This is failure of our Democracy. And it is also a fact that we are not yet, fit for Democracy. We don not vote for a person. We vote for the party, we vote for the religion and the caste. The worst thing is that our great Leaders encourage the voters to vote on these lines. They form their own vote banks. Self interest comes, before the national interest. Some drastic reforms are needed for our Democracy to work.

Most of us in general are greedy and corrupt by nature. The fact we don't indulge in corruption is because we don't have much scope to be corrupt. During election we do get opportunities to indulge in corruption like selling our votes to the party or candidates who gives freebies or money for us to caste our vote. To win election a politician spend money and buys the vote. As people are willing to sell their vote the politician who manages to buy most number of votes win. After coming to power the politician and his party has not only to recoup the money spent on election but also earn some more money for creation of wealth for them selves and their family. To do this they indulge in corrupt practices.

See, In India elections take place. OK, fine. But one needs to look closely how and in what pattern the votes are caste by the people.
The foremost consideration by voters is the Caste factor. A criminal Yadav will get the votes of Yadavs and the rival Kurmi may be a saint, will not be even considered by Yadavs. This is just a small example.
Secondly, "this candidate is good because we can approach his and he also helps us. What help? He goes to the police station and gets our men released. He gets the licence without any hassle ... and many such 'helps'.
Thirdly, the money/daaru and other sops are considered.
Nobody considers a candidate's clean image. Not even a saintly image.
Even God Himself comes as a candidate, He will get votes only and only because he can be asked to give this help or that help (which He can, of course). NOT because He has the most pious image and is God.
