Authorities of the local government senior secondary school today were a harried lot as they were unable to locate the bundle of accountancy question papers, sent by Punjab State Education Board, for the re-appear students of plus two classes.
As there were speculations of a possible paper leak, the board chairman Dr Dalbir Singh Dhillon ordered an immediate probe by a deputy secretary.
Sources in the school said authorities had received two bundles of question papers on March 8 - one for the regular students and the other for re-appear students, who were to sit for the exam today. Sources said the school authorities opened both bundles of the question-paper on March 8 after which the re-appear question papers were taken into custody by the school administration.
However, this afternoon the school administration failed to locate the question-papers. It took more than two hours for them to find the question papers, after which the exam commenced.
