Saundarya sabun Nirma....! Hi, Since years I am hearing this ad of Nirma and Vicco Vajrdanti ayurvedic , But I have never seen any person known to me using these products :-) What about you , Have you ever tried these products or do you know any people using them ?
I haven't nor do I know. But i have read with interest, especially, the story of Nirma - how a one man door-to door salesman ( after office hours - and on his cycle) transformed his business to take on multinationals like Hindustan Lever. I think the price of Surf had to be lowered, Lalitaji to be brought in, various marketing strategies to be formulated and put in place by the multinational to sustain itself. And I know, that it emboldened various local units to get into the soap making business ( actually, despite the hype-its child's play) and sustain. Despite this, why do I not use these? Unfortunately, I am not the man of the house- my wife is. Regards m'am.

Nirma basically targets at the poor sections of the society by its pricing and packaging. I don't even see them stacked up in any of the multibrand retail stores these days. As for Vicco Vajradanti, they had lost their market share a long time back unable to compete with the variety of new products, Indian as well as foreign that are on the shelves and easily available. The last I had heard about it, they were looking for a buyer. Don't know what happened to the sale plan.
