We make Sweet Pongal and Salt Pongal and offer to the God. We also make "Yellu Bella", a combination of til, ground nuts, dried coconut pieces and jaggery cut to small pieces and distribute to all neighbours and known persons, along with pieces of sugar cane. This is done by lades, who dress up cutely and visit all houses. It is a nice sight to see.
