Sachin has been a consistently good performer over the years, both in tests and ODIs. He has in his more than two decades career broken all kinds of batting records, which will be remembered and cherished for a long period of time.
However, of late Sachin has failed for quite sometime with the bat. It is clearly visible that age is catching up and his reflexes have become slow. Sachin, himself feels that he still has the capacity and capability to perform well with the bat and nobody knows his body better than he himself. However, there comes a time, even in great players life when they have to understand the harsh reality that they are no longer as good as they used to be and call it a day. If Sachin is not able to perform in the next few matches, he should retire because his not performing will not only affect the teams performance, but also decrease his credibility in the eyes of cricket lovers who have over a period of two decades have given him the status of a demi-God.
