Not really ................ if we know that the truth might hurt someone in one way or the other, we could avoid having to speak or maybe try to present it in a way in which the harm is minimized.
Would I tell an annoying man my address? Would I tell an innocent child that the world has murders capable of very bad behavior? Would I tell my mother , who is in hospital that father had a heart attack today ? No way . So why rely on it as the basis of truth? I view wisdom as free from language. So I try to act based on wisdom.

Agar yeh baat aapke kisi APNE se related hain, matlab agar koi aapka hain jo aapse toh apni saari DIL ki baatein SHARE karta hain ...lekin aap ussey baatein chupatey hain toh YES..dono ek hi hain !

Sachchai kabhi chupti nahi dost...
kabhi na kabhi saamne aa hi jati hai...
ise chupana koi gunah nahi kabhi....gar kisi ke kaam ati hai...
par jhoot to sara sir gunah hai....waise bacahne ke lie bhi log bol jate hain..
par faraq hai dono me...aur faraq sirf niyat ke wajah...
ek chupa gaye bachane ke lie...ek bol gaye fasane ke lie !

No both are pole apart.....
Concealing truth is just non-expression of truth, which is although a SIN if seen from one angle....but never an emphatic mistake....
But telling a lie is surely misguiding someone relating some fact....therefore a punishable mistake.....
