Is it tedious to walk by foot to Vaishnodevi from Katra ?

No. I assure you that there would be no tedium at all. The climbing part could be physically demanding for those not accustomed. But it is not as difficult as climbing to Kedarinath. Climb through road only. Don't take steps which are short cuts. In a group, it is very enjoyable. After Divine Mother's Darshan, climb another 3 Km and get the Holy Darshan of Bhairav ji also. A caution: - If you are very old, weak, ailing or otherwise impaired physically, please chose other mode of getting Darshan.
