The value lies in concentration...
benefits that are of special importance for kids who come from homes where books are scarce and the level of literacy low...
Gain mastery of our language(a heightened feel for language) and culture.
Basic mathematics needs it for children.
Intensive rote memorization exercises lead to improve verbal and episodic memory skills for older patients(recently discovered)

Disadvantage is similar as the difference between thinking and knowing.. It is to learn without understanding or thought...denying chance to create, the chance to innovate.

It improves your recall memory.

What you learned by rote in nursery "jack and jill" you can still recite word for word!

That finishes the advantages.

Its biggest disadvantage is that it discourages the student from thinking for themselves. they don't question the concept at all . there is no curiosity to know more.
