Retd Gen.V.K. Singh, ex-chief of army staff showing so much respect to Anna Hazare, a retired driver in the army - does not this show that even those holding low positions of service can be rise to high esteem if they excel in their good work?

Respect comes with power, not position.
If u go to Govt. offices, peon & watchmen o Lena-dena business and even head of the office salute them when need arises.

I've wanted to be a writer since I was a boy, though it seemed an unlikely outcome since I showed no real talent. But I persevered and eventually found my own row to hoe. Ignorance of other writers' work keeps me from discouragement and I am less well-read than the average bus driver.
