Q.

Personal Prophet (Guru) is one sent by God as per evolutionary status of the person who earnestly desires His guidance. One common solution may no benefit everyone because everyone is at different level of evolution. Initially rituals are necessary because they have been designed to some level of devotion. Just as a child does not need a walker once he grows up, similarly rituals are not required after reaching a certain level. After that level of spirituality comes when going to a place of worship and rituals are not necessary but communion with God. Isn't it ?

The first part is right .God will guide those wish to be guided . But God giving different guidance to different beings is wrong since Truth in any matter is one .
So God guide truth but people take to their ways .
2+2 =4 WHETHER ANY one AGREE OR NOT .
Spirituality is nothing but doing good . A child should also be spiritual a boy should be spiritual a grown up a old all should be spirtual .
Going to places of worship is not Just spiritual but social aspect also .
If going to Places of worship is wrong then it is altogether wrong and it should not be taught to children also .WE can not lie to children otherwise when they grow up they will feel we were liers .

The Road to Spirituality
The first necessity for progression along the path of spiritual development is MAN (faith). The mind and heart of a man should always be aware: Allah alone is His Master, Sovereign and Deity; seeking His pleasure is the aim of all his endeavors; and His commands alone are the commands that are to be obeyed. This should be a firm conviction, based not merely on the intellect, but also on acceptance by the will. The stronger and deeper this conviction, the more profound a mans faith will be.
The second stage is that of obedience (it~ at), meaning that man gives up his independence and accepts subservience to Allah.
The third stage is that of taqw~ (Allah-consciousness). It consists in a practical manifestation of ones faith in Allah in ones daily life. Taqw~ also means desisting from everything which Allah has forbidden or has disapproved of; man must be in a state of readiness to undertake all that Allah has commanded and to observe the distinctions between ...more

We all are adequately evolved to do correct things . There is no level . When guidance are there it is same for all . Levels come up with doing better things by words deeds and actions . claimants of higher spiritual level are big hoax .

What is required is a descipline in spriritual endeavour. as you have correctly said once u r ready the guru will come searching for u. that does not mean u must not make a search for the guru. certain rituals must be done compulsorily as that forms a part of ur swadharma viz sandya vandanam ( is a duty to the brahmins, kshatriyas and vaisyas) . there r certain fools however who try to invent the wheel without understanding the basic concepts in their own dharma. so if all the rituals are beads main thread of bhakti must must be strong thus making it eligible to adorn the lord.
