In order to get work permit, you need to be hired by a UK based company so start posting your CV to UK based telecom giants such as Cable & Wireless, Vodafone, T-Mobile, Orange, BT, O2 etc. Once you are selected through a co.'s HR procedure, co. will apply for your WP with UK Home Office. Also under the new system, UK based employers and prospective non-EEA employee will need to meet new rules and points.

Hello Mr. Raghavan,
I suggest you to send your resume to abroadimmigration@gmail.com
The name of the concerned person is Mr. Satish Shah. I guess he can guide you as he is a visa counselor and known to people a lot.
Regards,
Deepak

Go to the British Consulate -- learn about the procedures for a work permit. Also get yourself evaluated by some reputed HR consulant about the type and value of your qualifications and experience with respect to the UK market. Get max information then take a plunge -- because as far as I believe --- for INDIA INC -- PICTURE ABHI BAKHI HAI MERE DOST. !!
