A pan card stands for ' permenant account number ' . it is issiued by the income tax office . it is a life time number . it is very important to posses one in todays world .

It is the income tax Permanent Account Number. Every salaried employ must have one. Without one, you can't buy a car, you can't get a home loan, you can't open a demat account (for share trading), can't get a credit card, if you want reasonable spending limits, can't deposit large sums of money into a bank account.

PAN means Permanent Account Number and is issued by Income Tax dept.
It is also an acknowledged Photo-Identity proof for documentation.

When anybody is born nowadays tell their parents to apply for a PAN.card.This helps a lot for filing income tax in that persons name.This is an ID card issued by Income Tax authorities and play a very important role when in service or business or even idling and making money.

PAN stands for Permanent Account Number. It is required for filing the Income Tax returns. The PAN consists of 10 alphanumeric characters and it is equivalent to a photo-identity card issued by Income Tax authorities for filing Income Tax returns and other transactions like purchase of property exceeding Rs. 5 lakhs, investment exceeding Rs. 50,000 in Fixed Deposits, expenditure in foreign currency, credit card transactions, club membership (where the annual fees are Rs. 25,000 & above), ownership of a motor vehicle (other than 2 wheeler) etc.
