This is a condition which affects the ability to move the shoulder, and usually only occurs on one side. Sometimes the problem can spread to the other shoulder (approximately 1 person in 5).

Hello Vidhi, Hope you have got a cure to your problem by now.If not here are a few suggestions. 1.Frozen shoulder is a term loosely used by O.Surgeons and physios to term something in the shoulder which cannot be diagnosed. There is nothing like a frozen shoulder and you need to diagnose it. 2. You need to get 2 xrays a. True AP view and b. A stryker view of your shoulder joint. Yo also need a sonography of the shoulder to rule out tear. 3. generic shoulder exercises will worsen the problem. Eg. Shoulder wheel. pulley. 4. Once the diagnosis is establised you need to see a shoulder therapist who specialises in shoulder rehab and not any physio. 5. Checking your blood for Serum Vit b12 / S.D3 and S.Calcium is also mandatory in shoulder cases. All the best. Dr.Amol Sangekar www.rehabcare.org

In case of diabetics this is a major problem. However in my opinion you should go in for physiotherapy. Avoid anlgesics. But keep the shoulder moving notwithstanding pain. If garlic does not nauseate you, try taking 5/6 cloves duly crushed first thing in the morning. Of course you can\'t chew it, so crush it. In case of diabetes, reduce the glycaemic level. Mind it I am not a medic.
