Bangalore is called the IT capital of India. What other Indian city will come next to it?

To be honest with you sir, with absolutely 0 disrespect intended for the Bengaluru folk here and elsewhere, I really did not find Bengaluru to be an IT capital of India par se. Even amongst southern states, cities like Chennai in Tamil Nadu and Hyderabad in AP are far more sophisticated in talent as far as IT DEVELOPMENT goes. Even Tiruchi or Madurai has comparable talent to Bengaluru as far as development of IT projects.
Bengaluru is more like a call center hub for MNC's. But u can't really "develop" stuff in Bengaluru....when leather industry is down I do take up side business of organizing and completing IT projects and as far as IT development goes, Bengaluru is pretty mediocre even compared to moderate towns such as Madurai or Tiruchi.
In Bengaluru u mostly see innovation and breakthroughs done by MNC's who have their local bases here and not by the local talent. I REALLY have no idea as to why Bengaluru was selected as India's IT hub despite far better candidates such as ...more
