Sohrab Modi a great artist par excellence (1897-1984) was one of the gerat actor, producer and directors of many hit films. He is rightly called as a Lion of Bollywood. Pukar (1939) Justice of Jahangir, co-starring Naseem Banu, Sikkandar , (1941) story of Alexandar and his confrontation of Porus , Prithvi Vallabh, a story based on KM Munshis novel, confrontation between the hauhty queem Durga Khote and ultimately her love with Prithvi Vallabh, is hall mark of the film and Jhansi ki Rani ( 1952) a freedom fighter who met her end fighting to save her kingdom, starring his own wife these are some of the best films of Sohrab Modi
