Not in my experience, no. I am a leather businessman, and in my industry these are my observations:

MEN DO GET PAID MORE.

BUT.....

You can make a male staff stay in factory for 5 days in a row but u have to send a female home promptly by 6 PM no matter how urgent u r work is.

You can send a male staff on a 800 kilometer journey on a Govt of India "lodak" bus and make him sleep in Rs. 200 per nite lodge. But w/a female staffer, I have to send her on second class rail ticket at the least and book a family friendly lodge at least Rs. 1000 per nite.
...more
