Take Back the F-Word: Be Your Own Feminist!!!
A week long seminar and contemporary workshop conducted by the University of North Carolina declared this above mentioned topic as the biggest Global Feminist Issue.
The oft referred to ideology of the concept of Feminism is something which has become obsolete,passe and rather embarrassing for those women,who have started seeing things differently.
To refer to an example given by a Miranda House Lecturer,who believes she wants to do away with the feminist tag,cause it comes with rather impractical and suffocating expectations.For instance a feminist travelling in a bus is supposed to fight for the 'ladies seat',even if it is occupied by a tired elderly gentleman.It has a rigidity,which is rather radical and impractical. So the modern day woman would want equality and similar opportunities,being labelled a feminist is something which is not welcomed and appreciated at all.
