The Anatolian peninsula, also called Asia Minor, is bounded by the Black Sea to the north, the Mediterranean Sea to the south, the Aegean Sea to the west, and the Sea of Marmara to the northwest, which separates Anatolia from Thrace in Europe.

What is more or less the present day Turkey, also known as Anatolia and East of Bosporus. If you have read history and Alexander's campaign from the start, all the important places in Asia Minor are covered. It was home to one of the most ancient and advanced civilisations of the Hittites which was thought to be only a mythological tribe mentioned in the Bible till remains and very meticulously preserved clay tablets were discovered at the close of the nineteenth century.
