Lszl Kubala (1927 Budapest, Hungary - 2002 Barcelona, Spain) played for Czechoslovakia (6 games/3 goals), Hungary (3/0) and Spain (19/11).
2) STANKOVIC (Yugoslavia, Serbia and Montenegro, and Serbia.)
Actually you are both correct.... the thing is way back in the early days of international football there was no rules against playing for more than one nation!!! Take Luis Monti for example the Argentine make 16 app for his country before going on to play 18 times for Italy, Karl Sesta played for Austria in the 1930 then started to play for Germany then went back to Austria again ( although i feel there might have been another reason for this), even the brits were at it... with Stan Mortenson playing for both England and Wales
Raimundo Orsi, Ernst Willimowski to name a few others have also played for more than one nation. still today many Spanish players still kind of play for two national teams player for both Spain and either the Catalan team or Basque team which are Internati ...more
