Q.

Observing the kind of regional politics prevalant, at the behest of some narrow-minded politicians, in various parts of India every now and then, should the Metropolitan cities like Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, etc. be put directly under Government of India's rule, as is being done in the Union Territory of Chandigarh?

Govt of India (Central Govt) is subservient to regional outfits....that change was bought about by Rajeev Gandhiji, although he just wanted to give democracy directly to ppl (but it backfired). W/o support from regional outfits, central govt can't survive.....Why New Delhi is THE CENTER of the central Govt but if u were there in post INdhira-ji assassination in places like Khan Market....it was literally like playing "DEAD RISING" or like watching a George Romero zombie movie. Race riots were out of control. And New Delhi is very much central govt territory.
