The oldest horse that ever lived was "Old Billy". He was born in Lancashire in 1760 and lived to the world record age for horses of 62 years!
The average life span of a horse is only 20. And that is actually quite old. 20horse years, would be like a human living to 100..

Average horse lifespan is 24 years Wild horses and poorly kept horses have a much shorter lifespan, while some breeds (e.g. Arabian and many pony breeds) have a longer lifespan.
