Spoken Hindi has mostly improved because of TV. My mother did not know a work of HIndi. After watching Hindi serials in the TV, now she can understand almost everything and even say something in Hindi.

Yes. Hindi has spread in all directions, mainly due to Hindi films. Also because of movement of people all over. Then came TV and it did the rest. Today more people speak Hindi and even like it than was the case fifty years ago. In another fifty years, lets hope it pushes English out from its perch as the link language.

Once I met an Afgan national in another country. He was quite fluent in Hindi. On my asking he told me the reason that he had lived in Pakistan for quite some time and used to see a lot of Bollywood movies there.

Hindi has become stagnant language. unless something is done, it will lose more people to english
it has confined to movies tv only

Yes certainly they hv great impact on language learners and any language could be learnt to a great extent if learnt through watching that langauge programmes on tv......:-)
