Christian literature in China
The publishing of Christian books inside China is increasing. About 900 titles are now legally published and available within China, most by commercial or university presses and some by the Bible publishing company, Amity. A widening range of literature is published in Hong Kong, with millions of copies sent to the mainland. There are believed to be more than 400 small Christian bookshops now operating legally in China, double the number of bookshops five years ago.

This shows that the Communist govt in CHina is tolerant of religion in general, as long as it doesn't contradict the verdicts of the CPC. Do theocratic governments even tolerate Marxist literature in their bookshops, on the contrary?
