Q.

When Hina Rabbani was in India, headlines ranged from "Indians are reacting to HRK the way engineering students react when a hot chick sets foot on capus!" "Delhi gushes over news Pakistani ministeR" "HRK's date with India" to "Pakistan has finally revealed its weapon of Mass destruction!" The Indian media went gaga over her fashionable presence. There were no questions about recent bomb blasts in Mumbai or what Pakistan is doing to stop terrorist from acting on its soil. What a Shame!!! Comments plz.

Hi SG,
Your concern is genuine. Instead, Indian counterpart must have raised relevant Q about terrorism and other relevant issues. It is a shame we are dealing with a rouge state. Instead we should counter attack them in first place and let them do the talking instead.
But HR came in chick stuff, really ! She didn't had any agenda to talk to. It indeed was a show off ! without a cause. Media had no role being her a chick. She was that way herself.

Yes shameful but failure of Indian agencies to protect mumbai. her visit was useless and asking these quetion to pakistan again & again is also a futile exrcise, as no diplomat is going to accept his countries involvement in these affairs.

Yes it is really shameful and added to that the foreign secretary and the minister for foreign affairs were having opposite views about terrorism and the way the talks are moving

The media is the media, dear. Especially in India. And I am raised and living in Belgium; not that the media are holly here, but we get "slightly" better informed and they are "a bit" more objective

Media is mad. They pounce upon anything and sensationalise it. Over last few years, it has become a big industry. They air highly opininated stories, very often confusing viewers from recognising fact and fiction.
An article or two on why similar women are not getting into shoes (not the brand, but the position) like hina wears would have been decent and fair enough. Instead, they all fall prey to sensationalism.
Happy to know thee are people recognising this.

Party boss , late Benazir was more beautiful than Hinaji .She came with her father in Simla ,caught the eyes of the press ,but this type of hullabaloo was not there and Simla pact was entered into .We are trying to copy all the bad things of the west --this is one of them , a sort of paparazzi technique !So many drums were beaten with no result. Since those in power now believe ---PAHELE DARSHAN DHARI ,PICHE GUN BICHERI !
