Sylvester Stallone was born in New York City on July 6, 1946. He is responsible for creating two characters who have become a part of American popular culture, namely Robert 'Rocky' Balboa, Sr. (a boxer) and John James Rambo (a soldier). The 61-year-old actor has acted in six Rocky films between 1976 and 2006 and four Rambo films between 1982 and 2008. He made his debut in the 1970 film 'Party at Kitty and Stud's'. He will next be seen in 'Death Wish', which releases in 2009.
